Amity Law School, Amity University Madhya Pradesh is a legal education institution focused on academic learning as well as practical and professional legal skills.
The institution organizes moot court competitions, trial advocacy competitions, seminars and other academic and intellectually enriching activities designed to provide students with practical exposure to the legal profession.
The event is being organised under the guidance of university and institutional dignitaries, with an emphasis on multidisciplinary learning and the development of professional legal skills.
About the 9th AUMP Virtual Moot Court Competition 2026
Amity Law School, Amity University Madhya Pradesh is organising the 9th AUMP Virtual Moot Court Competition 2026 on 17–18 September 2026.
The competition provides law students with a national platform to demonstrate their ability to research legal issues, prepare written submissions, develop persuasive arguments and present their case before a virtual bench.
The virtual format allows eligible law students from recognized institutions across India to participate without the need to travel to Gwalior.
A moot court competition offers practical exposure to the core skills involved in legal advocacy — including legal research, memorial drafting, issue analysis, argument formulation and oral submissions.
Eligibility Criteria
Students who satisfy the following requirements are eligible to participate:
- Participants must be duly enrolled in a recognised university or institution in India.
- Students pursuing a full-time 3-year or 5-year undergraduate law programme are eligible.
- Participants must comply with the eligibility conditions and other requirements specified in the official Rulebook.

Team Composition
Each participating team must consist of a minimum of two members and a maximum of three members.

- One Researcher
The roles of Speakers and Researcher, wherever applicable, must be identified at the time of registration.
The Researcher will not be permitted to speak during the oral rounds except where permission is specifically granted by the Judge(s).
Participation from the Same Institution
Multiple teams from the same institution may participate, subject to the provisions and limitations contained in the official Rulebook.
Registered Members
Only members who are officially registered as part of the team will be permitted to participate in the competition.
How to Register?
Interested and eligible law students can register their teams through the online registration form.
Registration Steps
- Form a team consisting of two or three eligible law students.
- Decide the roles of the Speakers and Researcher, if applicable.
- Review the official brochure and Rulebook carefully.
- Complete the online registration form with the required information.
- Pay the applicable registration fee through the prescribed payment method.
- Retain the registration/payment confirmation for future reference.
Registration Fee
The registration fee for participation is ₹1,500 per team.
Payment is to be made through the method specified in the official registration form. Any applicable transaction charges are to be borne by the participants.
